More Oban, and more

While I was shuffling about with a film camera my good wife Alison was also out and about with her digital camera.  Here are some of the pictures she managed to get.

First up are a few pictures of Oban.  I find it really interesting to compare the output of the digital camera to that of the film variety.  There’s definitely a distinct “film look” compared to the slightly more clinical digital picture, but I still like both in their own way.

Overlooking the town.

And a couple more of McCaig’s tower too.

As well as Oban we also spent a few days by the banks of Loch Lomond.

Our accommodation was a lovely wee cottage and I think the digital camera really captured it well.

The gardens out the back were full of some spectacular flowers.

More flowers, this time of the window box variety.
